WE BEGAN OUR JOURNEY TO FIGURE OUT HOW CAN WE PROTECT OUR HELMETS AND KEEP THEM IN THE BEST POSSIBLE CONDITION.
We created a simple, elegant and affordable product to help fellow riders. Helmet Halo was designed to cradle and protect a rider's valuable investment and help maximize the life of a helmet. Originally intended for motorcyclists, Helmet Halo has since been adopted by scooter owners, bicyclists, extreme sports competitors and snowboarders across the country. Our vision is to help any adventure-seeker protect what protects them.
OUR MISSION: We aim to offer the smartest product available for handling, stabilizing and securing one’s (motorcycle) helmet whenever it's not in use. We continue to seek the horizon, to re-evaluate our design and manufacturing process, and to ensure the highest quality and customer service standards year over year.
The Helmet Halo concept was created in the summer of 2012 after I cracked my mouth-piece vent. I was shocked to learn it would cost $40--just for one small piece. My helmet was one of my greatest investments (just after my motorcycle, of course), and I knew there had to be a way to protect it and prevent another damage accident in the future.
There was nothing--online, in stores, anywhere. Nothing designed to cradle and protect my helmet that was also portable, lightweight and tidy when not in use. During riding season, I use my helmet almost daily and bring it with me vs. leaving it with my bike on a mirror, seat or handlebar.
So I figured: why not design it myself?
After multiple measurements, homemade prototypes, and 3-D printed proofs, the Helmet Halo was born. In January 2014, a Utility Patent Application was filed with the USPTO and designs were drawn up for a precise 3-D printed prototype. This prototype enabled us to make our first 'usable' Halo from silicone and would prove to be good enough to actually work. At the AIM Expo in October 2014, feedback from multiple motorcycle helmet manufacturers and distributors was overwhelmingly positive. This 'proof of concept' led to the final designs for a tool that could produce up to 1 million pieces."

Today, the Helmet Halo is happy to call Asheville, NC home. Asheville is a dynamic cultural and start-up hub located in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina. Asheville was recently named the 2nd best start-up city in America by Popular Mechanics as well as "an unexpected source of innovation" by Forbes Magazine.
We are proud of the fact that this is an American-made product. We value the American dream and have worked hard to do our part in keeping it alive. Every step in creating the Helmet Halo has occurred here in the U.S.
Along our creative journey we have encountered many generous individuals, people who have given to us of their time, mistakes, and real world experience. These people have given these gifts to us freely and we would like to publicly thank them and the businesses they own/work for in acknowledgement.
